After the holiday season, you see the flock of birds moving north and south to their favorite migration patterns.

On the roads, these snowbirds have a trademark style that any driver can recognize.

The term "snowbird" has been around for almost 100 years. The word was first used in 1923 to describe seasonal workers who moved south for the winter months, and by 1979 it was commonly used about the large number of retiree tourists who flocked to the south.

Spying pitfalls on the roadways is always hard. A semi-truck can be holding 35,000 to 80,000 pounds in their hauls.  People do not understand that the weight behind your car affects your driving performance, class, and safety.

The migrations of birds in winter and the migration of humans to the warmer climates is nothing new. These tips can help driving long distances safer for everyone.
